I'm here. I haven't died. Thanks for worrying about me Vaiva. I do apologize for abandoning you all for such a long long time though. It has just been madness around here. (as always)
I had a wonderful, but way too short, visit with my dad and Mary. I miss you guys already so much!
We went to a Titans game! Yay Titans!
I am helping to plan a Thanksgiving Feast for Kenneth's school. Where or where can I find those blasted Thanksgiving plates and napkins??
I met a new friend from the boat.
Chris and I are going out tomorrow night with boat people. Japanese!
I found a new sitter. Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything goes well with her. We really need this.
I have a dentist appointment to get some work done. Kenneth has a dentist appointment and Lilly is almost due for her 18 month well baby visit. My oh my where has the time gone.
And all while this is going on I am trying my very best to clean my house. My little human tornadoes are just so very good at destroying it as soon as it is done.

I do have pictures from all of our adventures. I will add those very soon. I promise!

COMPLETE AND TOTAL RANDOMNESS

  • I am NOT happy with the results of the election! I am not opposed to Obama's proposed policies. I am opposed to him as our president because I think he was elected for the wrong reasons. I know this is going to sound horribly racist and I am sorry, but I believe he was elected because he is black. He got a ton of coverage because this is a "historic" time...blah blah blah. How is that not racist? I really hope that we as Americans made the right choice. I don't believe he has the experience to lead our country. Okay off my soap box and on with the randoms. :)
  • I hate folding socks! I always end up with one or two socks without a match and then they go to the "sock pile". The pile is just a bunch of socks I put there and forget about until I am tired of looking at them so I throw them out about once a month. There is no telling how many pairs I have thrown out that way. Oops.
  • Lilly is a hitter. All day long I hear Kenneth yelling at her for smacking him. She will randomly walk up to him and give him a good whack in the head before going about her merry way. I don't know what to do about it, because honestly, I think it is funny. He has never been super nice to her so I think he is getting what he had coming.
  • I miss fall weather in Tennessee. I love so much being able to see the leaves change colors and fall off. It always feels like fall when you can rake all the leaves into a huge pile and dive into them. I want my kids to be able to have that fun like I did. Here in Georgia it is just too darn hot. It will be hot and then just one day it turns cold and all the leaves go straight to brown, not nearly as pretty.
  • I am horrible with keeping a personal schedule. I am all about scheduling things for the kids, but when it comes to me I am not so good. I will have things planned but then at the last minute I completely forget. I try to keep a calendar, but I have to actually REMEMBER to write things on it. I get times and events mixed up all the time. I just did this with a visit from my dad that is planned. I was totally ready to have them here this weekend, but oops, I screwed it up again. They won't be here until the weekend after. That just gives me a little more time to get things caught up around the house.
  • Since I am talking schedules, I hate not being able to schedule something very far in advance because of Chris's schedule. It is so very hard. I have things I want to do but I never know if it will be possible.
  • I love babies! I hate that my "babies" are now not quite babies anymore. I love the smell of them, the squishyness (is that even a word?), and I even love their cry. I am seriously having a hard time with my Lilly getting to be big.
  • I am in serious need of a girl's night! Girls lets plan one for very soon. There is a place I want to try called Chocolate Soup. Sounds fun huh?

Well thanks for sticking with me through all these random squirts of brain power. The brain is going back to sleep now that it has spewed all it's nonsense.

When?!?

When did my sweet little baby girl turn into a mean, tantrumy toddler? Complete with hitting, spitting, fighting and all around meanness. She has hit the terrible 2's a little bit early. She will be 17 months tomorrow. Where has the time gone? What am I gonna do without a little baby in my house? I don't know if I can handle this...awww... I wanted her to stay little forever. It looks as if I won't get what I want.

I just have to brag on my sweet sweet kitty. Isn't she pretty?

Halloween

Halloween was a blast. That's really all I can say. We had yummy dinner at Osaka before (the kids LOVED it), and then we had trick or treating and lots of candy. I hope everyone else had a good one.

Kenneth got to use the rigged chopsticks. He loved it!
Lilly loved the shrimp so much. She ate all of mine and a few of her sisters too!
Aren't they so cute?!
She knew exactly what to do. She didn't need any help at all. She can even say Thank You all by herself.
This is how they got around from house to house. :)
And what is better after trick or treating than checking out all the goods?!

Wow have we been busy! Lilly is finally getting better. She has been sick for about 13 days now. I am so happy that finally she is starting to sleep better at night and the yucky diapers are just about back to, a little less oh shoot me now, normal. She is also, thank god, eating again.
Halloween activities have been in full swing all week around here. And to top off this crazy busy Halloween week is trick or treating tonight. Yay for more sugar in my little ones!

Kenneth had a Halloween party at school on Thursday. He got to dress up in his costume, play games, sing songs and go trick or treating through the school. Then to end the day the had a party with yummy sweets and goody bags. Oh, what fun! He had a blast, and Lilly got to join in too.
Kenneth with all his classmates.

Lilly loved looking at Clara the mouse.

On Wednesday night we had a trunk or treat at the church where Kenneth's school is. The kids all dressed up in one or their several costumes and off we went for a night of fun. There were bounce houses, hot dogs, cotton candy, and lots MORE candy.
Pumpkins got carved. That was alot of fun as always. I just feel bad that Lilly wasn't really able to participate, because she still wasn't feeling well. Last year she was too young to do it, and this year she is sick. Figures huh?

And the finished products...
I think they turned out quite well.

Last weekend we went to an airshow in Jacksonville. The kids weren't really into it, I wish they had been. It was too loud, and too crowded for their liking. We didn't even get to stay for the Blue Angels. :(

I think I see a future career for Lilly. She didn't want to leave this plane we got to tour.

These were the ones that really scared Kenneth and Lilly.
Caramel apples happened this week too. The kids really enjoyed decorating them. They really didn't eat them, but they had fun making them.

Lilly loves to dance!

Sickly baby

Lilly has been pretty sick for over a week now. I have been to and from the doctor and ER a few times trying to get something figured out. They drew blood and took samples from all over her poor little body. I will save you all the disgusting details, but Lilly was definitely having some issues. Well finally the doctors came through for us and we found out what was going on...she had Salmonella poisoning! I am told it will clear on it's own about 14 days from onset of symptoms. We are at about 8 days, so hopefully soon, we will begin to get back to normal.
