Random blah blah

We haven't been doing too much here lately. Chris has been super busy, but the kids and I have been hanging out around the house for the majority of the time. Chris was on shift work last week. He had to go into work at 1:30 pm and he got home at about 1am. It was an awful shift, but not the worst. He starts another one soon, and it will be worse.

Adrianna had her fall festival at school on Friday. It was alot of fun for the kids. We bought tickets and they got to wander around and play games and win cheesy little prizes. It was fun.

Lilly has started saying a few more words. Her newest ones are paper and look. It still amazes me to see my little one becoming so big right before my very eyes. Everyday she gets just a little bit meaner and a whole lot smarter.

I got out her toddler bed and put it into her room. I wanted to see how she would do with it. This is the age where we moved Kenneth into it and he loved it and we didn't have to put him back into the crib. But Lilly is a bit more stubborn and she won't stay in her big girl bed. She has alot more important things to do. I try everyday to get her to sleep in it and only one time have I been successful, and that was only because she was already asleep when I put her into it. :) I will get her there soon enough. I don't really want to rush her out of the crib though so I am just going to wait until she decides she wants to be there.

A friend made some really cute sub pillows for her little girl. I have seen them a few times now and I just have to give them a try. I will be posting pictures of that soon. Who knows if it will come out, but they are just so cute. I have to give it a try. I may as well get some use from my sewing machine. I never use it. I love having it, but I never have anything to do with it.

My dad, step-mom, step-sister, and brother in law are coming to Jacksonville for a visit in November. I am so excited to get to see them. We are going to go to a football game. The weekend they will be here will the Jacksonville Jaguars will be playing the Tennessee Titans. I haven't ever been to a NFL game so I am very excited. I just have to work on getting a sitter for the kids.

I got my newest electric bill... and it has gone down! Yay now its only $272! I know, nothing to be excited about, but at least it is going the right way. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it continues to go down.

Just a lot of blah blah blah from me. Maybe in a few days I will have a worth while post. :)

This is the only time Lilly has slept in her bed. She looks like such a big girl! Notice the pink and white blanket she has. That is her favorite blanket. It's a custom creation from Misty. Thanks Misty!

Kenneth and Lilly really love playing outside. Now that it has been cooler for a few days we have actually been able to go out. Lilly loves lollipops. That's all I can say about this one.

Has it finally happened?

Has fall finally come to give us a short visit? A couple of days ago it was in the mid 90's here. This evening it was in the upper 70's. I love this weather! The kids and I went outside and played with some friends for awhile and we didn't melt! It's amazing! My fingers are crossed that fall is finally here.

My how time flies...

Things have been moving right along around here as usual. The time just flies by. I can't believe that it is mid-September already. How crazy is that?! I started getting out some of my Halloween decorations today. I just couldn't wait another day to put up some. I didn't get them all out, just a few. I plan on getting the rest out in a week or two more. I love this time of year. I love getting the house all festive for the holidays. We were at WalMart today and the kids were looking at Halloween costumes. It is going to be difficult to find something for everyone. Adrianna is super picky about what she wants to be. She wants something girly, a bride, angel, or princess of some sort. Surprised? I'm not. Kenneth wants something that doesn't have anything over his face. That narrows it down alot. We'll see what we can figure out.
I am thrilled that Chris will be able to do Halloween with us this year, hopefully. I guess he could end up with duty that day. That would be our luck.

I took Lilly back to the eye doctor on Monday. We finally figured out that what she had in her eyes was a Staph infection. The antibiotics and ointment did the trick and she is as good as new. It's just so scary that she picked up something that could have been serious just while we were out and about doing our normal everyday stuff. I need to invest in more antibacterial wipes. :)

Today we had breakfast with some really good friends. The kids did pretty well all things considered. It is still hard to take the two out without a daddy. Lilly and I did lunch yesterday and that was alot more manageable. She is getting to be really difficult, but it's easier to handle one difficult one than two.

Last weekend we had a couple of get togethers with friends. Lilly got to ride a tractor and a little 4 wheeler. She loved them both! During the tractor ride, Adrianna got thrown out of the back of the back of the tractor. Jack sped off faster than she was ready for and she took a tumble on the pavement. She's okay though. The kids also got to do a slip and slide. So much fun in so few days. Its crazy!

Lilly was getting a little "push" down the slip and slide. She absolutely loved it!
Lilly was riding with a good buddy, Jack, and Kenneth was racing in the BMW behind. What fun!
Lilly wanted a turn in the beemer.

Now these roses are just a random thought I needed to add in here. Kenneth bought me these roses 19 days ago! I have never had roses that lasted for nearly 3 weeks. I took this picture today. The are beginning to wilt a tiny bit, but otherwise they look fantastic!

Lilly really liked this little 4 wheeler of Jack's. She knew how to push the go button really well. The stopping and turning she wasn't so good at. We are going to have to get her one soon. She just likes it so much.

Random pictures

Kenneth's class pet at his school is a mouse. He was so excited to show me this morning. I'm not sure what the goofy face is about though. Behind him is the cage in his class.

I have these flowers all over my trellis out back. They are on a vine and they have grown all over. Does anyone know what it is? I just wonder because I think they are beautiful. Everyday there are atleast 10 new blooms.

The electric company is killing me

My stupid stupid electric bill continues to go up and up and up. What can I do though? I have to just grit my teeth and pay them. The norm for it is about $120, and every month for the past 5 or so months it has just gone up slowly. Now my bill is (gasp) $285!! Ughhh... I need to start my own electric company, some how. Because they are making a killing! I just had to get that off my chest. I feel better now.

Felling better

Lilly is doing so much better today. Her eyes are only a little red and the majority of the bumps are now gone. I am so relieved. We haven't been up to much of anything here lately other than lots of doctors appointments. And we still have more to do. I have one tomorrow, and Lilly has another eye appointment on Monday. I hope that this will be the last ones for awhile. I am keeping my fingers crossed that no one else gets sick or hurt. Think it will help?

I finally got a few minutes to post this really cute video of Lilly. It was a week or so ago, just before the eye issue started. She was watching Kenneth flip and she really wanted to be like her big brother. She is so darn cute, and she has no fear! I see an Olympic gymnast in training. Don't you? If so I had better start saving all my pennies.

I just have to say...

Oh my goodness, this movie was so good. I cried almost from the beginning to the end it was so sad but had such a good story. I just wanted to share with any of you who might be in the mood for a good tear-jerker. Wow!

poor poor Lilly

My poor Lilly has had some issues lately. We went for her 15 month well baby check up last week. She weighs in at 20 lbs and 11 oz. She is such a skinny little thing. For her height she is in the 14th percentile for her age. She is tall though. Anyway her eye has been a little red rimmed and I thought it was just allergies. The doc says she has pink eye and that it will go away in a few days. 5 days later her eye is now both eyes, and they are swollen covered in bumps and just really gross. We were sent to a pediatric Opthamologist (a children's eye doctor) down in Jax. The doctors still don't really know what is the matter with her eyes but they don't believe that it is pink eye or we would have all caught it. She is now on antibiotics and an ointment for her eyes and we have to go back in a week for another appointment. We have been at the clinic at least once a week for about a month now for either Kenneth, Lilly, or myself. I am really starting to dislike these Navy doctors!
It just seeems like there is always something going on. Can't things just be calm and normal for awhile? Please?!
I do have more updates and pictures and even a video to post, but now is not the time. Soon...

He might as well be grown

My little boy started school today. It is only preschool, but still this is HUGE! It feels like time has just gotten away from me. It seems too soon for him to be 3 1/2. Oh my, I almost had a breakdown taking him to school this morning. He was so ready and so very excited. I found myself getting teary as I was walking him up. "He didn't need me anymore" is what I kept thinking. Oh he still does need me I soon found out. He was all about school until he got in there and a few other kids were crying and holding onto their mommies. Then he started crying and holding on to me telling me he didn't want to stay. He wanted to go home with me. I almost took him back home. Almost, but not quite. I finally pried him loose and left him.
When I went back to get him 3 short hours later he was so excited to tell me everything that had happened. He was just chattering away all the way home. He had a good day and does want to go back. Woo Hoo!

His name is on that little tree. His teacher is Ms. Melody, so they are called Ms. Melody's Merry Mice. The mouse is the animal that his class gets called to help us when its time to pick up the kids.
This one was about 1 minute before his little meltdown. He was SO excited!

Random Nonsense

Vaiva, I'm here! :) You were worried I had run away huh?

I am having a hard time keeping up. Can't you tell? It seems to be nonstop around here these days. Between meetings, playdates, dr. appts, and school stuff I don't have a free moment to just sit on the computer. I only make getting caught up harder on myself by waiting so long. Now I have so much to say that I don't even know where to start.
Tropical storm Fay turned out to be nothing really. We got some wind and alot of rain, but thats about it. We didn't even lose power. We just hung out at home and watched TV for a few days. Adrianna had some time off and Chris got a day as well. It was actually kind of nice. We might get to do it again really soon if Hanna comes our way like it has predicted. We'll see!

Chris got some baseball tickets from the boat. We went to see a Jax Suns game. We took only Kenneth and Adrianna and it was wonderful. Kenneth and Adrianna had a lot of fun. The didn't watch alot of the game but it was interesting. We had fun.

The Tennessee Titans are coming to Jacksonville in November. I am trying to get tickets to go. The USO offers free tickets to some of the NFL games, so I think that I can get them for free! I am very excited about that. I hope it works out.

I have had like a billion doctors appointments here lately. I have some skin issue we are trying to get figured out so I've been a bit down and out since Friday as I now have 3 stitches I am babying on my foot from a procedure they did. Just more to add to my already crazy life. :)

Kenneth had his open house at his new school a few days ago. He will officially be a preschooler tomorrow. Oh, its so crazy to think my baby boy is now starting school. He really seemed to like his teacher when he met her. He talked about Ms. Melody for days after. Tomorrow is the day though, so we will see how he feels then.

I took this video of Lilly a few days ago. She loves her hooded towels. Everyday after bath she wants to wear it around for awhile. She just runs around like crazy with it blowing behind her. She just laughs the whole time. So cute.

This is about the extent of damage we saw from Fay. This is NOT our house. It's our neighbor's. No one was hurt, and there was no damage to the house really.
Kenneth got an autograph from the Jax Suns' mascot.

Kenneth and Adrianna were so very excited before the game started.

I WILL DO BETTER WITH KEEPING UP. I PROMISE!
